Energy investor GoldenPeaks invests 20 million euros for the growth of renewable energies in Poland
April 23 (Renewables Now) – Energy and real estate investment group GoldenPeaks Capital has secured EUR 20 million (USD 24.1 million) from a green bond sale in Luxembourg that will help grow its portfolio renewable energies in Poland.
The green bond trades on the Luxembourg stock exchange under the symbol “GoldenPGBI”.
The offer, the first of its kind for the company, received “significant attention” which reached an oversubscription level, GoldenPeaks said Thursday.
“We have adopted a multicellular structure for the initial bond and given the strong demand, we plan to launch new green bonds in the market in the near future,” commented the president of the company, Daniel Tain.
Currently, GoldenPeaks is building 86 solar farms of 1 MW each as part of the Bravo project, which is expected to come into operation in the second quarter of this year. In addition, it has two recently launched renewable energy projects, Alpha and Charlie, which are expected to add between 150 MW and 200 MW of total solar capacity to its portfolio. Most of them will also be 1 MW installations, using bi-facial solar panels.
In the pipeline, GoldenPeaks has nearly 1 GW of projects under development.
